When you join Tulo Energy, we estimate your annual energy costs using the information you provide, the options you selected, and industry data. We then divide this into 12 equal monthly Direct Debit payments.
We regularly review your usage against this calculation. If your energy use changes, your Direct Debit amount may go up or down — but we’ll always let you know in advance, in line with our Terms and Conditions.
Your first Direct Debit payment will be taken on or around your supply start date. It’s a condition of all our Direct Debit tariffs that payments are made by Direct Debit. You can view your Direct Debit date in the Tulo App or Web Portal.
In the App navigate to Billing and the date of the month is shown under the heading Your Direct Debit
In the Web Portal navigate to Bills & Payments and the date of the month is shown in the middle box of the headline panel.
If your Direct Debit is cancelled or fails, we reserve the right to move you to our Non-Direct Debit Standard Variable Tariff, which is more expensive.
Because your first payment is collected on or around your supply start date, it’s possible that if a supplier objection or industry rejection happens close to this date, the payment may still be collected. This is because it will already be in progress with our payment provider and your bank.
Don’t worry — if your switch application is ultimately unsuccessful, we’ll refund your initial Direct Debit in full.
