Leaving Tulo

Modified on Tue, 19 Aug at 4:11 PM

We hate goodbyes, but if you’d like to leave Tulo, all you need to do is sign up with another supplier.

Final Meter Readings

Your new supplier is responsible for collecting your opening meter reading. Please make sure you give it to them — they’ll validate it and submit it through their Data Collector (DC). That DC then passes it to ours, and only once this process is complete can we issue your final bill.

Final Bill Timeline & GSOPs

  • By industry rules, we must send your final bill within 6 weeks of you leaving.

  • If we miss this, you’ll automatically receive a £40 Guaranteed Standards of Performance (GSOP) payment.

  • If we then fail to pay that GSOP within 10 working days, you’ll receive a further £40 GSOP.

Direct Debit

Don’t cancel your Direct Debit yet — we’ll use it to collect your final payment or refund any outstanding credit.

If Your Account Is in Credit

  • We’ll refund your credit straight back into your registered bank account where possible.

  • If not, we’ll get in touch to arrange an alternative refund method.

If Your Account Is in Debit

  • A negative balance means you owe Tulo for energy you’ve used.

  • If you pay by Direct Debit, we’ll automatically take the final payment 14 days after your final bill.

  • Alternatively, you can pay in full by card via the Tulo App or Web Portal.

Moving Home?

If you’re moving, you can take Tulo with you! Just let us know when you’ll no longer be responsible for your old property and provide your final meter readings.
